An investigation carried out in the above property addresses acoustic sounding and dampness testing carried out.
The leak was proven to be on a hot feed.
Acoustic sounding picked up noise on the feed under the kitchen sink.
The pipe was capped off the feeding kitchen sink and utility, but this didn’t stop the leak.
The base of the kitchen unit was removed and an Investigation hole was dug.
The leak was located on a 15mm copper hot feed to the kitchen.
The pipe was capped off to stop the leak.
No signs of dampness were picked up on the property.
Pipes a laid on rubble under polythene and insulation.
Areas Damaged:
Kitchen unit base cut out.
Other Comments:
Advised to have a plumber reroute hot feed above ground under kitchen units.
