An investigation carried out in the above property addressed acoustic sounding and dampness testing carried out also infrared camera was used.
On arrival heating was on and the header tank was found to be running.
Hotspots and dampness were picked up on the living room floor.
The investigation hole was dug and the leak was located on the plastic heating pipe. Fitting was found to have back threaded.
Areas Damaged:
Living room = floors and walls = solid oak flooring and paint. Kitchen dining = floors and walls = solid oak flooring, tiles, and paint.
Utility = floors and walls = tiles and paint.
Comments:
Advised to have plumber repair leak.
Also advised to ensure floors and walls are dried out completely before any reinstatement work commences.
